WHAT IF?

What If? was performed at Pleasance at the Edinburgh Fringe 2007 .

What If? is the story of Neil, She and Josh, locked in a dance of virtual hide and seek, and that deep, gut wrenching fear of looking silly.

Neil has a job he doesn't hate and a life he doesn't mind. He has a routine that keeps him going and friends that tolerate him. The one spark of passion in his life is her. She is the light of his day, the love of his life - except he has never spoken to her. Josh is writing an article on obsession with online networking; Neil is his prime target.

What If? combines imaginative physical, witty and insightful text and an original music score.

Praise for What If?

"I urge you to admire the poignancy with which this piece utilises the wonders of child play - as well as the cast members’ excellent performances - in highlighting the sad reality of our everyday lives."

"Must See" -The Stage

"A funny, inventive and frantically performed piece."

-The Metro ****

"Well directed, the set and props are creative and versatile and it provides an interesting insight into the phenomena of the world of My Face."

-One For Review ***

"This neat and nimble drama will hit nerves with the online generation."

SING A STORM OF BLACKBIRDS

Sing a Storm of Blackbirds was first written and performed in 2004, then went on to tour Oxford and London before a full run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2006.

Sing a Storm of Blackbirds tells the story of two brothers as they escape the chaos of war-torn Kosovo and head for the dreaming spires of Oxford. As two worlds collide will young love survive the gathering storm?

Using vibrant new writing, physical theatre and an original score, the production gives an insight into the lives of the hundreds of people that arrive in the UK for refuge from a home that can no longer keep them safe.

Praise for Sing a Storm of Blackbirds:

"This beautifully written and imaginatively staged new work leaps ahead into a future where the physical and verbal language of theatre are fully and seamlessly integrated in the interest of a story rather than a message." "Must See"

-The Stage

"Love, learning and xenophobia are all on the cards in this a charming human story of love in a BNP climate. Leaves you singing a storm of praises."

Three Weeks Magazine ****

"A wonderful, elegantly stylised piece. Delightful physical theatre features and the well-advised vocal work is a graceful pleasure. The script is tight, referential, carefully researched and full of gentle humour."

National Student Review ****

"A tale of forbidden love and alienated outsiders that finishes with a surprising twist. Delivered with a distinctly physical twist."

Arrived in Edinburgh yesterday morning for my fifth year and was delighted to find that the first show I saw really summed up what the festival is about for me. Sing a Storm of Blackbirds was thought-provoking, funny and relevant to today's society. A fantastic start to my Edinburgh experience!
